In last week's post, we talked about some of the best ways for you to market your business. Offered several tips, but I didn't have time to offer all of them. Today, I'm back to provide you with three more tips that can help you meet your business goals. Let's get right into it.
YouTube
Did you know that YouTube is the number TWO search engine in the world? The reason is simple. People enjoy watching videos. But that doesn't only apply to people who are searching for funny cat videos. It also applies to those who are looking for businesses just like yours.
Hootsuite put out a great article that can help you get started with creating your own YouTube channel for your business. It will take a little bit of time, but eventually, you will find this to be a great tool.
You can use YouTube to make all kinds of videos, such as:
· An unboxing video
· A tour of your office or facility
· Interviews with your staff regarding what you do
· Product or service videos
· Testimonials
Paid Ads
In the past, paid ads were really quite frowned upon because "no one likes to be advertised to." To some extent, that is still true. But it seems as though people have gotten so bombarded with them that their sting is wearing off. Today, a lot of businesses are using paid ads to reach their customer base as well as potential customers.
Google ads and Facebook ads are great places to start. Google reports that they process about 3.5 billion searches a day. That is a HUGE audience, and while you won't be trying to reach everyone, it still increases your chances that you'll reach more.
Both types of ads can easily be adjusted to reach your current customer profile. You can target specific geographic locations, interests and much more with Facebook and Google.
Update Your Web Pages
Be honest - how long has it been since you've updated the web pages on your site? Have you added new pages?
If you're like most business owners, you probably haven't added new pages, and the ones you do have may have been there for quite some time. It might be time to look at your website with a fresh set of eyes.
Today, people enjoy visiting web pages that can give them the information they want quickly. That means short, punchy text that gets your point across fast. You also want to make sure your site is optimized for Google as well. It should include your main keywords as well as your location.
